Our associate coach and editor Husnara Begum caught up with her former Linklaters colleague Chasham Mitra about life and law. Chasham discusses how moving overseas as a junior lawyer afforded have him greater levels of responsibility than his London-based contemporaries. He also explains why he decided to move in-house and how that carved out a path for him to eventually work as a consultant lawyer. Most significantly, Chasham talks openly about how his former Lehman colleagues came to his rescue after he lost his job following the global financial crisis. Chasham is currently working as a consultant lawyer at Lloyds Banking Group. His previous experience includes roles at Barclays and Morgan Stanley.
