I’ve been a graduate recruiter for over 25 years and began my career at one of the big four accountancy firms, PWC within graduate recruitment and generalist HR. I then spent 18 years as head of graduate recruitment and trainee development at legacy firm Nabarro (now CMS Cameron McKenna). During my time at Nabarro I am proud to have won numerous awards for our graduate recruitment and trainee initiatives, gaining recognition from within the legal sector and wider graduate recruitment industry. I particularly enjoyed mentoring and supporting aspiring lawyers; seeing them develop and grow in confidence from my initial contact on campus through to qualification. I have experience of mentoring countless young professionals as they approached qualification and managed trainee recruitment and newly qualified (NQ) solicitor retention at Nabarro during the 2008 financial crash.

I set up my own consultancy five years ago and provide freelance graduate recruitment services as well as career coaching for young professionals. I continue to work with leading City law firms and have also provided freelance graduate recruitment support within the professional services, not for profit and education sectors.

In addition, I work with university students as a freelance careers consultant and have also worked with a number of final seat trainee solicitors, helping them to navigate their way through the NQ process. For the past three and a half years I’ve regularly conducted career clinics with the Law Society, working with students and qualified lawyers, including those returning to the profession after a career break or looking to change direction.  I find working with individuals to achieve their career goals hugely rewarding.
