Who should sign-up? Aspiring lawyers who want to find out more about diversity and inclusion in the legal sector

About this event

Employers in the legal sector are often making pledges and commitments to recruit and retain lawyers from more diverse backgrounds. But are they doing enough? And what are the experiences of minority lawyers? Are they feeling heard and supported? CheekyLittleCareers and our sponsor BARBRI have lined up a stellar panel of guest lawyers from under-represented groups to have an open an honest discussion about diversity and inclusivity in the legal profession. These include:

Amelia Wilson, in-house lawyer at Channel 4

Robert Greene, future trainee at Skadden Arps

Rodwell Ndengeya, trainee solicitor at Freshfields

Sunita Harley, inclusion and L&D expert

The discussion will be facilitated by Husnara Begum, editor of A former magic circle lawyer who herself is a disabled female with Bangladeshi heritage, Husnara will chat to the panellists about their personal experiences of working in the legal sector, including how they turned potential challenges into opportunities. They’ll also explore the importance of inclusive behaviour, authenticity and having the confidence of bringing your whole self to work. The discussion will immediately be followed by a Q&A.
